Erlinda Rilveria Ragasa Obituary Erlinda Rilveria Ragasa of Fresno, CA, passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughters on October 25, 2024. Born on October 10, 1948, in San Sebastian, Ilocos Sur, Philippines to Julian and Maria Rilveria, she was the 3rd oldest of 11 siblings. After graduating from Ilocos Sur National High School in 1966, she continued her education to obtain a teaching credential at Northern Luzon Teachers College. She taught at San Sebastian Elementary School, then moved to Manila to pursue a BA in Business Administration & Accounting at the University of the East and graduated in 1975. In 1977, she immigrated to Fresno, CA. Her Accounting career began at Southland Corporation where she spent 15 years, then at Kaufman & Broad Homebuilders. She finished her career at the Disabled Students Program & Services at Fresno City College, where she worked for 17 years until her retirement in 2016. Erlinda was a longstanding member of the Filipino-American Association of Fresno. Fond memories can be attributed to family gatherings with rosary groups and friends in the community, ballroom dancing, and the recreation of the Mar Ragasa Bowling League. The love for her 5 grandchildren was undeniable. She enjoyed every moment cheering them on at their sports games, attending milestone events, or simply spending quality time with each of them. Yearly visits to the Philippines for family celebrations and reunions with her Batchmates, fun travels to different countries, gallivanting with friends to the local casinos, and just connecting with her family & loved ones, brought her immense gratitude & love for life. She is survived by her daughter Grace Jessen & husband Matt, daughter Stephanie Lee & husband Alex, and grandchildren Bella & Ava Jessen, and Jade, Dreyden, & Casey Lee. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Mariano Ragasa, whom she was married to for 26 years until his passing in 2003. Erlinda also leaves behind her siblings: Nellie, William, Vidy, Maret, Guada, Julian, Nora & Edward, as well as countless family and friends whom she cared for so much. The family invites you to remember Erlinda for her joyful laughter, charismatic spirit and love for all things red. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. “For even in the darkness, the light of our Loved Ones still shines through.”
