Fabiola (Fabby) Alvarez de Gasca, age 46, received her wings on Sunday, May 5, 2019, surrounded by her loving family in Fresno, California. From her birth in Tijuana, MX on November 24, 1972 to her death on Sunday, she nourished family & friends with unwavering love & support. Fabby was born to Luis Alvarez & Irma Blanco, the first of four children. She enlisted in the US Army Reserve in 1990, reaching the rank of Sergeant, & was honorably discharged in 1998. In April 1995, she, with 18 sisters, became a founder of Fresno State’s Phi Lambda Rho Sorority’s Beta Chapter. Fabby earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Craig School of Business in 1997. She completed her career at Fresno State in 2018 as an Administrative Analyst for the College of Social Science. In 1995, Fabby met the love of her life, Antonio & his family. They married in 2000, welcoming their blessings, Antonio in 2004 & Ulises in 2009; two strong & brave boys. In 2012, while unceasingly giving all the glory to our Lord, she began a courageous battle against cancer, always grateful for all the angels that surrounded her with love. Those left to honor Fabby are her husband, sons, parents, sisters Irma (Antonio) Briones & Laura (Renato Zavala) Alvarez, brother Luis (Dedra) Alvarez, mother-in-law Ma. Elena Martinez, sister-in-law Alejandra Gasca, many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, & extended family. Fabby is preceded in death by grandparents Gilberto Farias & Virginia Blanco, & uncle Augustine Alvarez. The family will greet friends & loved ones from 5:00-9:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, May 13 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 2838 N. West Ave, Fresno, CA 93705 (West & Shields); mass will be held at the Church on Tuesday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 S. Cornelia, Fresno, CA 93706. Fabiola recibió sus alas el domingo 5 de mayo de 2019, rodeada por su amorosa familia en Fresno, California. Desde su nacimiento en Tijuana, MX el 24 de noviembre de 1972 a su muerte el domingo, nutrió a su familia y amigos con un amor y apoyo inquebrantable. Fabby nació de Luis Álvarez & Irma Blanco, la primera de cuatro hijos. Se alistó en la reserva del ejército de los USA en 1990, alcanzando el rango de sargento, y fue dado de alta honorablemente en 1998. En abril de 1995, ella, con 18 hermanas, se convirtió en la fundadora del capítulo beta de Phi lambda Rho Sorority de Fresno State. Fabby obtuvo su licenciatura de la Craig School of Business en 1997. Completó su carrera en Fresno State en 2018 como analista administrativa del Colegio de ciencias sociales. En 1995, Fabby conoció al amor de su vida, Antonio y su familia. Se casaron en 2000, bienvivieron sus bendiciones, Antonio en 2004 & Ulises in 2009; dos niños fuertes y valientes. En 2012, mientras daba toda la gloria a nuestro Señor, comenzó una valiente batalla contra el cáncer, siempre agradecida por todos los ángeles que la rodeaban. Los que quedan para honrar a Fabby son su marido, hijos, padres, hermanas Irma (Antonio) Briones & Laura (Renato Zavala) Álvarez, hermano Luis (Dedra) Álvarez, suegra MA. Elena Martínez, cuñada Alejandra Gasca, muchas sobrinas, sobrinos, tíos, tías, y familia extendida. Fabby es precedida en la muerte por sus abuelos Gilberto Farías y Virginia blanco, y tío Agustín Alvarez. La familia saludará a amigos y seres queridos desde las 5:00-9:00 p.m., con el Rosario a las 7:00 p.m., el lunes 13 de mayo en la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Victoria, 2838 N. West Ave, Fresno, CA 93705 (West & Shields); Misa se celebrará en la Iglesia el martes 14 de mayo a las 10:00 a.m. servicios de defunción serán en Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 S. Cornelia, Fresno, CA 93706.
