Obituary for Frances D. Palacio, March 9, 1927 – January 26, 2023 Frances was born to Domingo and Valentina Dorame in Imperial County, County. She attended school in rural Imperial County and high school in Calexico, California. In 1945 she married Salvador Palacio and together raised son Robert and daughter Virgie. In 1959, the family moved to Fresno, where Frances worked at Learner’s Dress Shop on Fulton St. and later at Manchester Center, where she was promoted to management. In the early 1970s, Frances moved to Vista, California to start a new phase in her after her life husband Salvador passed away. For 20 years she was a self-employed employed operator of a small retail business at flea markets in North San Diego County, where she sold children toys and related items. 1998 Frances moved back to Fresno to be closer to family and lived in independent senior housing facilities. During this period, she enjoyed traveling, visiting with relatives, and having fun with her grand-children and great-grand-children. By 2014, as her health required greater monitoring, she moved in with daughter Virgie and son-in-law Tom, where they provided loving care in her last years. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Salvador, granddaughter Victoria Palacio, and 5 sisters and 4 brothers. She is survived by her sister Angie and brother-in-law Bob Pedraza; her son Robert and daughter-in-law Olivia Palacio; daughter Virgie and son-in-law Tom Andrade. She is survived by grandchildren, Tommy Andrade Jr. and spouse Darla; Steve Andrade and spouse Shane; David Andrade and spouse Tracy; Ana Leonui and spouse Alfred; Sylvia Lopez and spouse Ross; Andrea Villegas and spouse Salvador. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Nicole and Javier Lopez; Tommy III and Mathew Andrade; Ryan, Brandon, and Charlene Andrade; Mia and Josh Andrade; Gabrielle Palacio, Breana and Nicolas Leonui; Jaclyn and Nathanial Lopez; Santino and Camila Villegas, and great-great grandchildren, Lelia and Emilio Lopez. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, 11:30AM at Crosspoint Church, 2518 N. Cedar Ave. Fresno, CA 93703. A luncheon-reception will follow at Cardinal Newman Hall, at St. Paul Catholic Newman Center, 1572 E. Barstow, Ave., Fresno, CA 93710
