Jose Angel Trevino Jr., lovingly known as Joe, went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2025, in Fresno, California, at the age of 76. He was born on January 31, 1949, in Matamoros, Mexico, and spent his childhood moving throughout Texas, Idaho, California, and Oregon as part of a devoted farm-working family. Those early years shaped him into the hardworking, resilient, and compassionate man he would become. Joe dedicated nearly 30 years to truck driving before retiring, and he approached his work with the same commitment and integrity that defined all aspects of his life. A devoted Christian, he served the Lord faithfully and lived out his faith through generosity, kindness, and an ever-present willingness to help others. Joe never met a stranger; he made friends everywhere he went, always chatting, joking, and sharing laughter. His warm spirit, quick humor, and ability to truly connect with people made him unforgettable to all who crossed his path. He loved watching boxing, traveling in his RV, and spending peaceful days at the beach. Above all, Joe cherished his family deeply. He adored his wife, Emily, with whom he shared 55 beautiful years of marriage, and he took great pride in caring for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Emily Trevino; his son Joe Trevino III and daughter-in-law Griselda Trevino; his daughters Leticia Gallegos and son-in-law Tim Gallegos, Jolynn Trevino, and Rachel Trevino Moreno; his sisters Gloria Garcia, Sylvia Nevarez; his brothers Ernie Trevino, Arnold Trevino and his sister-in-law Sandra Trevino. Joe is also survived by many brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws on his wife's side of the family as well as his nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. He leaves behind his grandchildren: Karie Wild, Mark Lopez, Stephanie Bravo (and her husband Ricky Bravo), Brittany Jaramillo (and her husband Gabriel Jaramillo), and Alexis Moreno. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Raymond Wild, Allison Escobedo, and Michael and Gabriella Jaramillo. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria Trevino, his sister Diana Trevino, and his brother-in-laws Jesse Garcia and Roland Nevarez. Joe’s legacy of faith, generosity, laughter, and love will continue to live on through his family and the countless people whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
