Lenora Marie Goshgarian, 79, of Fresno, California, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2023. She is predeceased by mother Ann Tavares, father Clarence Tavares, and sister Charlotte Johnson; and survived by husband George G. Goshgarian; brother Thom Tavares; sons Jonathan Gregory, Scott Oliver, George M. Goshgarian, and Rich Grohmann; daughters Erin Oliver, Jeannie Goshgarian, Julie Panebianco, and Caitlin Goshgarian; and her beloved grandchildren, Peyton Oliver, Sophie Oliver, Sullivan Baker, Langley Goshgarian, Jameson Goshgarian, Daisy Gregory and Niko Gregory; and multiple cousins, nieces and nephews. Lenora was the middle child and loved playing with her siblings Charly and Thom, as well as her cousins, and she remembered those times fondly. She graduated from Fresno High School where she was an extraordinarily fast runner, holding several girls track records. She was also a "Warriorette" and a very good tennis player. After graduating, she married Woody Gregory, with whom she moved to southern California and had two children. She started her work career at McDonnell Douglas as a secretary, and then continued that career path after moving back to the Valley working as an executive secretary for medical practices. Her longest career was as executive secretary for George's practice. Her true calling, though, was as wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Lenora and George were married in 1985, expanding her family by two more children, and spent their almost-40 year marriage enjoying their extended family, dinners out with friends, good wine, trips to the Bay Area and other parts of California, and later, making day trips to the ranch where George grew up. She also loved going to the movies with her girlfriends, reading voraciously, driving fast, decorating, especially at the holidays, making her legendary pumpkin and custard pies, and spending days with her grandkids, playing in toy stores and getting lunch. Her devotion to her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, was her greatest achievement. Her infectious laugh and her incredible ability to make everyone feel special made her as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She will be forever loved and missed by the family and friends she leaves behind.
