Nicholas Thomas Hollett 1987 - 2026 It is with deep sorrow that we announce that on January 6, 2026, our beloved Nick Hollett, 38, of Fresno, California was tragically taken from us. His sudden loss has left a void that words cannot describe. Nick was born in Fresno, California on April 18, 1987, who remember him as the silly goofy little boy full of life, which turned into witty sarcasm as he got older, he always had to be right, and usually was. His main concern was quality time with his family and friends. He would always be there for anyone at the drop of a hat and be sure to tell you his two cents. For example he would go over to his dad’s almost every weekend to get his help on his truck but ended up doing it his way regardless he just needed his dad’s company. When it came to his boys a babysitter was never an option as family was the only acceptable choice. Nick was a friend to everyone he met, making lasting connections wherever he went. Nick and his best friend Corey were practically inseparable. From Junior high to now, they were together through it all. He was also an avid gamer, and had many friends in that community, from his online game Last War who are also grieving the loss of their buddy. Nick met the love of his life, Alyssa, in 2005 while they were both attending Central High School. He always had a crush on Alyssa, and after what can only be described as a long “intermission”, they reconnected and began their lives together as a family. Nick became a father, first to Odin in 2017, and then welcomed baby Milo in 2021. Nick was a spectacular, hands-on father to his two young boys. He loved being a dad and was his children’s favorite toy. Nick’s family meant the world to him, and he was elated that he and Alyssa will soon be welcoming the addition of a baby girl in May 2026 It was especially meaningful for Nick’s family when he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and became a truck driver. In this industry, Nick truly found his passion and was proud of the work he did. He worked for Numark for the past year. He was the breadwinner for his family, working night shifts to provide for his wife and children. Nick was working toward purchasing their first home and he was excited to build a solid future for his growing family. Everyone who knew Nick knew how much he loved cars, and specifically, trucks. He had several over the years that he was always working on or collecting parts for. Nick had a soft spot for his furry friends, treating every one of them like the valuable family member they were. One time, he was sitting in his truck and a strange dog he had never seen just ran up and jumped inside the cab and into Nick’s lap. In true Nick fashion, he just rolled with it and thought “Well, I guess this is my new dog!”, who he kept for the next 12 years! Nick will always be remembered for his laugh. He had an infectious giggle that when he was amused, you couldn’t help but laugh with him. Even if someone was razzing him about something, he would smile and giggle at himself too. Perhaps what he will be remembered for the most is his loyalty and the way that he cherished his family. We’ll always imagine hearing him say coolio and right on one more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better son, brother, partner, dad, and friend, He will be forever missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. His warmth, generosity, and love touched so many lives, and his absence is felt deeply by all who knew him. Nick is greeted in Heaven by his grandparents Bob and Beverly Hollett, and Ardel Goulet, and uncle Nicky Hollett. He will be remembered by his girlfriend Alyssa Papaleo, sons Odin and Milo, parents Kathy Harland and Rodney (Rhonda) Hollett, Sister, Melissa Hollett and family. Brittany Markham and family, grandmother Marie Herman , and all his nieces and nephews. Nick’s life was a profound gift to us, and a memorial service will be held to celebrate him at 2pm on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the Chapel of the Light 1620 W. Belmont Avenue, Fresno CA. All friends and family are welcome to join us in honoring his memory.
