Ronald G. Jackson

December 08, 1958 November 18, 2017 Ronald "Action" Jackson went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 18, 2017. He was born and raised in Fresno, California, graduating from Roosevelt High School and Fresno State where he completed his Master's Degree in Criminology. He started his 30-year career with the Fresno County Sheriff's Department as a "108" Reserve and later got hired as a Deputy Sheriff. During his time with the department, he made life-long friends with his cheerful and generous spirit, gentle strength, unique sense of humor, and one-of-a-kind baked desserts. He took his duty to serve seriously, going above and beyond what was expected of him and being an inspiration to the fellow brothers and sisters with whom he worked. His caring personality was far-reaching; he was always ready to help a friend in need. Ron truly understood what it means to lay down one's life for another. In the home, he was a trustworthy and dependable husband to wife Lie Sioe and a loving father to daughters Victoria and Sarah. Always boasting about the achievements of his two children, Ron knew they inherited his wit and determination to succeed. He enjoyed spending time with his cherished family, traveling across California during his vacations from work, going to the movies, and eating out at his favorite restaurants. A few of the "mysterious" skills "The Legend" possessed were baking (and eating) cakes, practicing and teaching martial arts, learning multiple languages and cultural customs, shooting at The Range, and cuddling cats. Martial Arts was one of his passions, and he was a Certified Associate Instructor in the Estalilla Kabaroan System of Eskrima. He also enjoyed scuba diving, reading, watching crime shows, collecting stuffed animals, and somehow acquiring random facts such that he knew every answer on the trivia game shows. His knowledge and wisdom was beyond anything anyone could imagine from a man who claimed he could speak to cats. By the grace of God, Ron has been welcomed into his eternal home in Heaven and joins those who went before him, including his parents and several friends. He leaves behind his wife, daughters, brother, sister, and many more family and friends who have been blessed by his presence. Visitation will be held at the G.L. Johnson Chapel of Peoples Church on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. To 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. At Peoples Church, interment will follow at Clovis District Cemetery.
