Venus Manimtim Cleofe was born on February 24, 1948 to Severino and Agapita (Raymundo) Manimtim in Manila, Philippines and passed away on January 7, 2021 in Fresno, California. Venus was attended school in the Philippines and graduated from St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She met and married the love of her life, Dr. Mariano Cleofe. Venus worked for many years as a Registered Nurse in Post Surgery Recovery at Valley Medical Center, which later became University Medical Center. Venus and her husband had a devout Catholic faith and were faithful parishioners of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. The two enjoyed participating in various civic groups within the Filipino Community. The Cleofe's could always be seen dancing the night away at the countless gala's they attended. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Dr. Mariano Cleofe in 2019. Venus is survived by loving daughter, Sharon Robbins and her husband Ed of Pebble Beach, CA; and her beloved grandchildren Michael Robbins, Stephen Robbins and Edward Robbins. She will also be missed by her siblings Dr. Dan Manimtim and his wife Marilou, Ramona Daisy Esguerra, Rose Manimtim Chua and her husband Henry Chua, and Cynthia Manimtim and her husband Eric Sarona; and many nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends. Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Light Funeral Home on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A vigil service will follow at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. A private interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
