One love, One heart Our family was not expecting for Vincent’s (Vince, Vee-dawg, Vee, Vinny), life to be cut so short so soon. We are all devastated by this huge loss and he will be forever missed. He was born with a naturally genuine and kind soul, a heart of gold, a big smile for everyone he met and was always exciting to be living life with one love and one heart! Our beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, peacefully passed away with his family by his side on July 26, 2022 at the age of 44 years after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Vincent Rios, name meaning conqueror, was born to MaryAnn Rodriguez and Tony Lucero on August 12th, 1977. He was perfect! He was and always will be immensely treasured. Vince was a lover of life had no boundaries. He kept people rolling in laughter because he could find humor in the most mundane life circumstances. His battle with cancer showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and intense strength. Despite the pain, Vinny came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. His loving heart left a beacon of light for all. Vincent lived a magnificent life. A discerning man of exquisite taste, he provided comfort and solace while asking for little in return. His legacy encompasses integrity, loyalty and compassion, gifting others with the confidence necessary to pursue life with a persistent, contagious passion. Vince was a free spirit, he truly brought the life to the party. He valued loyalty, honesty, and authenticity. He believed that everyone needs an outlet for stress, and his outlet was smoking a ‘joint’ and enjoying the California sunshine with a drink. He loved music; all of it! Like most music lovers, he couldn't help himself but to sing or dance. Vincent had an amazing sense of humor and a beautiful laugh! His wit was razor sharp and he was known to say the most shocking thing he could think of, in hopes of helping you see a new perspective. He made his whole family laugh with his outrageous and exaggerated facial expressions, and all his crazy sayings. He believed in autonomy and dignity and a person’s right to choose the life they want. He loved his entire family and worried about them, rooted for them, protected them, and always kept on loving them. He was one of a kind and to be loved by him was to be truly blessed. Vincent was so much more than his struggles. He was beloved by everyone who ever met him because he was larger than life; A best friend to all walks of life. No matter the circumstance, you'd always leave with a story of something funny/crazy Vee did while you were with him. He never knew a stranger and would always make you feel welcomed. He would do anything for a laugh. Anyone that truly knew him, knew he had such a big heart. He’d give you anything even if it wasn’t his to give. He could make you laugh even when you were mad at him. He made an instant impact on everyone who met him. Vincent poured his heart and soul into his work and all the people Vincent worked with absolutely admired him. Vincent was a hard worker, resilient figure in the face of adversity and person who provided exemplary effort. Vince had an unassuming and disarming smile that could put anyone at ease; everyone was Vincent’s friend. His sense of humor was second to none and he was as compassionate as he was funny. Vince could find the silver lining to keep pushing forward in any situation. Vince was so special. He represented the good that we all need every day in our lives. He was one of a select few who could actually rise to meet challenges with a smile. He offered a level of optimism that was honest, heartfelt, and spilled over into all that he did. He saw the world as it was and despite the challenges that existed, he still looked towards beauty and wonder as a conscious choice. There truly wasn’t anything that Vince couldn’t do, he had the Midas touch! His love of life was evident in the way he lived. Life will be different now without him waking everyone up in the morning with his music. For us, he really is that pebble thrown into a lake as the lives he touched act as ripples that extend far beyond just us. We take comfort in knowing that Vincent is now at peace surrounded by light. He is survived by his parents, his children, his grandchildren, his brothers, his cousins, aunts, uncles, and the countless friends and lives Vincent has touched throughout his life. To honor Vincent Rios, A Celebration of Life will be held August 12, 2022 at 11:30 a.m., at the Chapel of Light. We invite anyone who knew him to attend and remember his wonderful life.
