Alicia Medina Alvarez Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Alicia Medina Alvarez, 68 Alicia Medina Alvarez was born to Laureano and Juana Medina on April 19, 1954 in Guanajuato, Mexico. She passed into our Lord's care on June 19, 2022 with her family by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, abuelita, sister and friend. Alicia loved to dance cumbias and banda, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved the outdoors and gardening, with roses being her favorite flowers around the house. While at home, she loved painting and enjoyed solving word searches and playing online casino games on her iPad. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Ignacio Alvarez Sr. Alicia is survived by her children Maricela Velasquez, Veronica Hanlon, Ignacio Alvarez Jr., Rosa Elena Alvarez and Elizabeth Bean. She also leaves behind her 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Light in Fresno, California on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary beginning promptly at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held at St. Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church in Fresno, California on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. followed by interment at Belmont Memorial Park in Fresno, California. To those who have sent messages or called to express their condolences, thank you all on behalf of our family.
