Cary G. Garcia Sr. entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the age of 71. He was a loving son and brother, proud father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time and traveling the world with his family and friends. Cary was born in Fresno, California on September 28, 1950. He was a Specialist for the United States Army during the Vietnam era and retired Track Supervisor of 33 years for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. He was an active member in his local union Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Lodge 2419, where he served several years as Vice President and Secretary Treasurer. He is survived by the mother of his children Lena Garcia; his children and their spouses Cary Jr. and Alexis Garcia, Carin Garcia-Olmos and John Olmos, Laura and Keith Stevens, Jamie and Leslie Quiocho, Neal and Adrienne Quiocho, Antonio Quiocho, and Lizanne and Kevin Carvalho; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; his partner Rose Marie Martel; his brother Conrad M. Garcia; nephews and their spouses Eric and Kerry Garcia and Chris Garcia; his Uncle Porfie Garcia and numerous cousins in and outside the state of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Isabel Garcia. A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday January 5, 2022 to be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 929 Harvard Avenue, Clovis CA 93612. Internment of the urn immediately following at Clovis Cemetery 305 N Villa Ave, Clovis, CA 93612. A memorial luncheon will be held immediately after the internment at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District Liberty Room at 808 4th Street, Clovis, CA 93612. While flowers are welcomed, remembrances may also be made to your local PBS or NPR stations.
