David Wesley McGuire, was born to Allan Warman McGuire and Violet Louise Pratt McGuire. David spent most of his life driving around the country as a truck driver, and was always up for an adventure. In retirement, you could often find him on the lake, captaining a boat full of people he loved. He adored and loved spending time with his best friend and wife Joyce, and making memories with his extended family. David was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ronald Allen McGuire and Stanley Charles McGuire, sister Nellie Jane Burkett and step-son Raymond Sonafrank. David is Survived by his wife, Joyce McGuire; four daughters, Lynne Sheriff and husband James of Elberton, GA, Judith Smith and husband Mark of San Diego,CA, Jennifer Wallace and husband Diallo of Laguna Niguel, CA, Christina Clinger and husband James of Springdale, AR, and step-son Jay Sonafrank and wife Anita of Fresno, CA, his grandchildren, three brothers, Kenneth Pershing McGuire and wife Joy of Lake Elsinore, CA, William Jay McGuire and wife Carla of Roanoke, TX, and Timothy James McGuire of Roanoke,TX. A funeral service will be held Friday, January, 14 2022 at 1:30 PM at Chapel of the Light, Fresno, CA. The family will receive friends directly after the services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association @ act.alz.org
