David Daniel Anthony Reyes

July 27, 1994 - December 22, 2021

On Wednesday, December 22, 2021, our beloved David Daniel Anthony Reyes, passed away at the age of 27. David was born on July 27, 1994 in Fresno, CA. He was the first child and grandson in the family, making his birth an event of pure joy. David was blessed with the sweetest, most beautiful, loving and pure soul. He loved his family and anyone lucky enough to cross his path. No matter the challenges he faced with his Down Syndrome, he remained upbeat and overcame many life challenges. He would greet everyone with the biggest smile and a warm bear hug. His happiest moments were when he was surrounded by family, especially his mom, brothers, and his father. David loved taking road trips, ready to see where the road led. The journey was as enjoyable as the destination. His trips to the coast were a particular favorite of his (Monterey and San Diego especially). He loved the sight of snow and being able to play in it with his younger brothers. He loved walks with his brothers, running errands with his mom, and sharing meals with family and friends. David loved listening to music, especially Disney songs. He loved all things related to Disney including trips to Disneyland where he could personally visit with his favorite Disney characters like Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Buzz Lightyear, Sheriff Woody, and the many Disney princesses. He especially enjoyed both It’s a Small World and Pirates of the Caribbean rides. He is survived by his mother Christina Gonzales and father Daniel Reyes, both of Fresno, CA. His brothers Andrew Reyes and Joseph Hille of Fresno, CA and brother Leslie Hille of Paris, France. His grandparents Victor Jr & Rosie Gonzales of Fresno, CA, and grandmother Cordelia Abaya of Fresno, CA. His aunts, Sonia Gonzales of San Diego, CA and Serena Savala and her husband Edward Savala of Fresno, CA. His uncles, Victor Gonzales of San Diego, CA and Vincent Gonzales and fiancée Denise Aleman of Sanger, CA, and Luis Bustamante of Fresno, CA. His cousins Edward (Eddie), Anthony and Lorenzo Savala of Fresno, CA, Olivia and Vincent Jr of Sanger, CA, and Alex and A.J. Bustamante of Fresno, CA, and extended family throughout California and other states. The viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Chapel of the Light at 1620 W. Belmont Ave., Fresno, CA 93728, followed immediately by the eulogy and memorial video inside the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. To know David was to love David. For those who loved him his light will always shine brightly in our hearts and in our memories. Please keep his parents and brothers in your thoughts and prayers.
