    Janice D. Brownen Hill

    October 14, 1964 - June 11, 2020

Janice D. Brownen-Hill Janice Brownen was born on October 14, 1964 in Bakersfield, California to her mother Marie Bullard and Father Edward Brownen. They lived in a little town outside of Bakersfield named Arvin. Growing up Janice and her siblings really enjoyed The Radio Flyer Wagon, which at that time was used for collecting “soda pop bottles that were redeemed for 10 cents per bottle and that was big money. We would take as many bottles as we could find and head to one of our favorite stores Boozes Market and we would get as much penny candy as possible, at times our little paper bags were full. On many occasions she would carry a 1gal glass jug to good old A &W where that jug was filled up to the top with Root beer. Growing up Janice’s family moved from Bakersfield to Fresno and often back and forth between the two. As an adult she later moved to Arizona with her family for several years, then decided to come back to Fresno where she resided with her mother. Janice was a giver and a helper to anyone who knew her. She would give you anything she had if she knew you needed it more than she did. One of her most famous sayings to all hard times was “THIS TOO SHALL PASS” She is survived by Mother Marie Bullard and Father Ed Brownen, Sister Jackie Brownen-Martinez, Sister Tina Brownen-Padgett, Brother Harold Jones, and Brother Steven Brownen. Daughter Shalla Jones-Miller, Daughter Cassandra Repp, Daughter Nikole Hill, and Daughter Lacey Hill, Janice also had another Daughter named Crystal Pruett of whom was adopted when she was a baby. Janice also has seven Granddaughters and four Grandsons, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts, and a Grandmother who just turned 94 Jodie Louise Hayes. “She Will Truly Be Missed, and it is not Goodbye, It‘s Until We Meet Again.” Services are at The Chapel of Light located at 1620 W. Belmont Ave Fresno, Ca. 93728 ph.# (559)233-6254 Following service will meet at Engaged Fellowship Church located at 2434 E. Terrace Fresno, Ca. 93705 where we can visit with one another and eat some Lunch.
