Josefina "Fina" Castro-Georgner, age 66, of Fresno, CA, passed away with her loved ones by her side on August 8, 2023, leaving us with bittersweet memories and a touch of humor. Known for her tough exterior, generous spirit, and abundant love, Fina will forever be missed. Born on October 25, 1956, to Loreto and Maria Castro, Fina came into this world ready to conquer it. With a heart full of laughter and a zest for life, she had an uncanny ability to brighten up even the gloomiest of days. Fina was a true superhero, dedicating her career to the noble profession of caregiving. She cherished every moment of tending to others' needs, passionately serving until her body no longer allowed. Who needs a cape when you have Fina by your side? Survived by her adoring husband, Ozzie Georgner, and their amazing tribe of five daughters, Lisa Kruse, Jeanette Georgner, Anna Georgner-Cruz, Devina Brizendine, and Liberty Georgner, Fina's legacy lives on through them. She was the proud grandmother of a whopping 23 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren—proof that she had a secret superpower for spreading love and joy in unlimited quantities. In addition to being a source of inspiration for her large and loving family, Fina was also an integral part of a bustling Castro clan. She is survived by her loving mother, Maria Castro and a squad of siblings — 5 sisters and 3 brothers and over 100 nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. It's safe to say that keeping up with Fina's infectious energy was no easy feat. Fina was preceded in death by her father, Loreto Castro, her daughter, Trinity Georgner, and her brothers, Reynaldo, Ruben, Ray, and Rigo Castro. Their memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved Fina. Fina's vivacious personality shone bright in every aspect of her life. As we say goodbye to our beloved "Wonder Woman" let us remember her with laughter and love. She lived her life to the fullest, leaving a mark on our hearts and a lesson to never give up. To honor Fina's memory and share in her extraordinary journey, a viewing will take place on Friday, August 18th from 5-8 pm at The Well Community Church Fig Garden. You will have the opportunity to share memorable songs and tributes there. A playful and uplifting memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at The Well Community Church Fig Garden starting at 9 am. Dress code? Please wear pink to honor her 13 year battle with breast cancer. She didn’t want us to wear black and mourn. Though Fina's spirit may have soared off into heaven, her impact on our lives remains. She'll forever be the guardian angel sprinkling sass, wit, and laughter in our memories. As we celebrate her life, let us share tales of her unstoppable spirit. Oh, what a colorful world she made—and we are eternally grateful for having been a part of Fina's grand adventure. May Fina's soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
