Loyd Garrett passed away on December 27, 2020 after fighting respiratory failure for weeks due to COVID pneumonia. He was born on August 7, 1952 to Jake and Wilma Zenger Garrett. He was 68 years old. He was a graduate of Kerman High School and like his father, Jake Garrett, he worked hard for many years as a commercial truck driver. Loyd enjoyed his work driving commercial trucks. After driving for Certified Grocers for 24 years, he retired but he continued to work part of the year driving a tractor trailer for companies here in the central valley. Loyd enjoyed life through his passion for traveling, music, socializing, football and the outdoors. He touched many lives along his journey, all of whom will greatly miss his huge heart and fun-loving attitude. He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He is survived by his mother, Wima Garrett; His children, Brent, Staci and Steven; five grandchildren; And his sisters, Dorene and Lorene.
