Phommy Phanvongkham

November 8, 1948 - February 5, 2021

Phommy Phanvongkham also known as Pa Thee was hospitalized on January 21, 2021 and passed away on February 5, 2021 at the age of 72. He is survived by his eldest sister Phaeng Phanvongkham and his younger 2 brothers Charlie Phanvong and Phommisouk Phanvongkham. Phommy was born on November 8, 1948 in Meuong Burn, Houaphanh Province in Laos to parents Mai Phomvong and Phon Phanvongkham. After attending the local elementary and high school, he went on to graduate at the Kensang BakPasang Technical Vocational College in Vientiane, Laos in 1970. He later worked in Administration at the college where he met the love of his life, Bouadang. Phommy and Boudang were married in 1970 and had 6 children: Kristine, Vatsana, Palany, Mimi, Ticity and Vilasay. Phommy and his family lived in the cities of DangDok and Nong Kai in Laos until 1981 when they moved to the Philippines as refugees. After a few months, they finally settled in Orange County, California where he continued education with ESL. In 1984, he moved his family to Fresno. In 1993, he moved to San Luis Obispo and worked at Ernie Ball where he retired in 2017. In 2001 Phommy Phanvongkham moved to Santa Maria to live with his daughter, Kristine and then his daughter Ticity in 2009.
