Sylvia McElhaney

April 2, 1958 - April 10, 2022

Sylvia McElhaney was a devoted wife, loving mother, understanding aunt, supportive sister, loyal friend and all around amazing person! She was the glue of the family, a helping hand at the ready and an open ear to listen. She is and will be missed dearly. There is just not enough to say to fully describe her. She was born in Firebaugh and raised in Fresno. After Graduating from Fresno State University with a Bachelor's in Social Work she went on to fulfill both a personal and professional life full of service. Sylvia and William shared a marriage that was seen and felt by all who knew them! The family gatherings hosted by Sylvia and William will always be remembered and held in high regard. They have sown so many seeds of happiness and encouragement in the lives of the many who knew them. Though their passing brings tears, their memory brings smiles and laughter. We miss you, appreciate you and will carry your memory in our hearts. She is preceded in death by both her Parents; Jesse and Rosie Cruz, her siblings; Ruben, Anita, Jesse Jr., and Ernie. She is survived by her Children; Simon Collazo III, Zoe Monae McElhaney, Josiah McElhaney; her siblings; Rudy Cruz, Rosemary Perez and Angelo Cruz, many loving aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, in laws and life long friends.
