Clementina Covarrubias Garcia, devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and grandmother passed away on April 16th, 2025, at the age of 75. Clementina was born on July 29th, 1949 in Jalisco, Mexico. There, she met her husband, Leon Garcia, and together they raised their four children, Maria, Carlos, Anna, and Carmen. She has 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Clementina's life was a testament to love, acceptance, and resilience. Whenever you walked through the doors of her home, you immediately were welcomed with her warm embrace and the ever important question: "Mijo/mija, ¿tienes hambre o te gustaría algo de tomar?" She served as the pillar of our family and helped raise so many people with her love. Family, including friends who became family, were always coming and going, filling her casita with light. From weekend carne asadas to celebrations year round there was always music, laughter, and amazing food nearby. She was there for everyone, regardless of circumstance, and always worked so hard to provide others with whatever she could give. She was a strong woman in every way, taking care of her family. She could help to heal anyone with a meal, a hug, and a bendición. Clementina loved to watch the morning news and looked forward to Los Horóscopos con Walter Mercado, always with a cafecito in hand. Her animals and her plants brought her pure joy, and you would often hear her singing or talking to them. She would walk to Walgreens or the local gas station to restock on essential supplies, including lottery scratchers, then sit outside in the garage or on the porch, talking, laughing and telling stories of different moments in our lives. The casino was also one of her favorite places and you could catch her rubbing the machine for good luck. Although Clementina's passing has left a huge hole in our hearts that no one else can fill, there is comfort in knowing that we shared beautiful memories with her that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Clementina nació el 29 de julio de 1949 en Jalisco, México. Allí conoció a su esposo, León García, y juntos criaron a sus cuatro hijos: María, Carlos, Ana y Carmen. Tiene 12 nietos y 7 bisnietos. La vida de Clementina fue un testimonio de amor, aceptación y resiliencia. Al cruzar la puerta de su casa, uno era recibido de inmediato con su cálido abrazo y la siempre importante pregunta: "Mijo/mija, ¿tienes hambre o te gustaría algo de tomar?". Fue el pilar de nuestra familia y ayudó a criar a tantas personas con su amor. Su familia, incluyendo amigos que se convirtieron en familia, siempre entraba y salía, llenando su casita de luz. Desde las carne asadas de fin de semana hasta las celebraciones durante todo el año, siempre había música, risas y comida deliciosa cerca. Ella estaba ahí para todos, sin importar las circunstancias, y siempre se esforzaba por brindar a los demás todo lo que podía. Era una mujer fuerte en todo sentido, cuidando de su familia. Podía ayudar a sanar a cualquiera con una comida, un abrazo y una bendición. A Clementina le encantaba ver las noticias de la mañana y esperaba con ansias Los Horóscopos con Walter Mercado, siempre con un cafecito en la mano. Sus animales y sus plantas le traían pura alegría, y a menudo se la oía cantar o hablar con ellos. Caminaba hasta Walgreens o la gasolinera local para comprar sus artículos esenciales, incluyendo raspaditos de lotería, y luego se sentaba afuera en el garaje o en el porche, hablando, riendo y contando historias de diferentes momentos de nuestras vidas. El casino también era uno de sus lugares favoritos y se la podía ver frotando la máquina para tener buena suerte. Aunque el fallecimiento de Clementina ha dejado un enorme vacío en nuestros corazones que nadie más puede llenar, nos consuela saber que compartimos hermosos recuerdos con ella que siempre ocuparán un lugar especial en nuestros corazones. Que descanse en paz y en la gloria de Dios.
