Elizabeth Roach Aguilar

Elizabeth Roach Aguilar, 71, passed away on February 26, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Elizabeth, known to her family and friends as “Liz”, “Lizbeth”, and “Lilbit” was born on July 11, 1951, in Calexico, California. On August 27, 1971, Elizabeth married the love of her life, Vince, and together they had 3 children, while living in Salinas and Gonzales, California. Together they fought life’s battles, raised a family, and built a beautiful marriage. Elizabeth and Vince were happily married for 51 years at the time of her passing. Elizabeth grew up on Ralph Lane in Salinas, California, and graduated from North Salinas High School. Elizabeth worked at Fairview Middle School as an instructional aide for 5+ years. She also worked at Social Security Administration as an Enumeration Clerk for 33 years until she retired in June 2016. After her retirement, Elizabeth & Vince moved to Fresno, California to be closer to her daughter and grandson. If you knew Elizabeth, you knew her love for Panda Bears. Whenever you visited her home, you saw the Pandas on display all over the house. Elizabeth loved to Read, play on her Kindle, watch Harry Potter movies with her fur babies Rusty and Roxy, go on mini vacations with friends. Her most favorite moments were playing board games with her kids and Grandson and family day trips to Santa Cruz Beach Board Walk and Monterey. Elizabeth also loved to sing, and even though she didn’t like her own voice, her children thought she sounded like an “Angel”. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her sisters and niece dressing up for their themed “Sister Weekends”. Elizabeth always had a blast with Vince on the motorcycle runs while hanging out with the “Biker Mamas”. Vince always surprised Elizabeth with unexpected day and weekend trips, just the two of them, to San Diego, San Francisco, Paso Robles, and her favorite place, Casa De Fruta. They were also able to go on their dream vacation to Hawaii for their 45th wedding anniversary. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Guillermo & Josefina Roach; brother William “Bill” Roach and sisters Marina Rios, Josie Gonzales, and Carmen Espinoza. Elizabeth leaves behind her family whom she loved very much; her husband Vince Aguilar, her children Joey Aguilar, Emalee Aguilar, and Toby Aguilar; her grandson Anthony Vincent Aguilar; her adopted son Josh Thompson; her sister Regina Alvarado; her brothers Carl, Art, Richard, Rubin and Marion Roach. Elizabeth also leaves behind many Sister & Brother in laws, Nieces & Nephews, and many close friends.
