Lawrence (Larry) Pierini passed away peacefully at the age of 85. Served in United States Navy 1957-1960 Former occupations: Chowchilla Police Officer, Larrys Garage in Chowchilla, Owner/Operator of Trucking industry. Chevrolet Certified Technician for Shebulets in Madera Owner/Operator of Union Station in Chowchilla Larry’s Auto Wrecking/24Hr Towing/Chowchilla-1968 Wrecking yard in Chowchilla and Madera Tire Shop in Madera. After retiring, worked for Madera Trucking as a seasonal driver. RACING WAS HIS LIFE!! He was a member of : Madera Motorcycle Club/1959 Super Modified Racing Association/1983, Nascar License/1984 Mini Stock, Street Stock Divisions Nascar Competitor License/1987 Elks Lodge No. 1918 in Madera/1981-1989, VMRC (Valley Modified Racing Club) Competitors License/1987 Central Valley Push Trucks Association Madera Speedway Official, Tech Inspector Merced Speedway Official, Tech Inspector Legends of Kearney Bowl Car #41, Larry Pierini’s previous racing experience before joining S.M.R.A includes driving claimers at Selma, Stock Cars at Merced, Sportsman at Merced and Watsonville, Stock cars at Kearney Bowl finishing in the top five for two years, and Stock Cars at Madera where he was in the top ten. He was a passionate Hot Wheels Collector! Traveled as far as Las Vegas for Hot Wheel Shows to Buy/Sell. Larry was a bowling enthusiast, partnering with Linda, won several tournaments together as a couple. Larrys favorite music was Brooks and Dunn. Larry is survived by his wife Linda of 36 years Children: Marty Arambula/Ernie of Arizona, DeeDee Bryon of Clovis, Larry Pierini/Margo of Washington, Lori Rippee/Tim of Madera, Kevin Johnson/Teresa of Illinois Kenny Johnson/Brenna of Texas, Shawn Higgins of Fresno April Higgins/Chris of Fresno Brothers: Adolph Pierini/Cathy of Merced William (Billy) of Chowchilla Sisters: Josephine Skelton/Billy of Ahwahnee Gale Deaver/Bruce of Georgia Grandchildren: 23 Great Grandchildren: 16 Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
