Lee Esther (Brown) Hiebert, 89, passed away on February 2, 2025, in Fresno, California. She was born on March 6, 1935, in Bessie, Oklahoma, to Edward and Minnie Brown. She pursued her education at Corn Bible Academy and later moved to Fresno to attend and graduate from Pacific Bible Institute (now Fresno Pacific University). Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life, and she was a devoted member of Bethany MB Church. She exemplified Christ’s love in all aspects of her life, touching the hearts of those around her with kindness and compassion. Lee shared a beautiful life with her late husband, Jack Hiebert. Together, they co-owned Hiebert's Vista Florist for thirty-eight years, where they cultivated not only flowers but also a legacy of dedication and service to their community. Music was an integral part of Lee’s life. She played the mandolin and piano and was a gifted soprano who lent her voice to many singing groups over the years. She participated in the cherished Brown Family music show, a weekly radio program in Oklahoma where her family shared their talents and the gospel with the community. She sang in a trio during college, the Words of the Gospel Choir, and the Bethany MB Church choir. In addition to her musical talents, Lee found joy in painting, expressing her creativity through classic landscapes to memorialize locations of importance in her life. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Judy (Hiebert) Janzen and son-in-law Joel Janzen; her son Don Hiebert and daughter-in-law Cynthia Hiebert; and her beloved grandchildren KJ Hale, Sam Janzen, Gracey Hiebert, and Ella Hiebert, nieces and great nieces, nephews and great nephews. She is now reunited with those who went before her: her husband Jack Hiebert; parents Edward and Minnie Brown; siblings Ben Brown, Harry Brown, Leona Penner, and Lillie Brown; and grandson David Janzen. Lee will be remembered for her loving spirit, unwavering faithfulness, her heart to serve all around her, and the warmth she brought into every room she entered. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her to follow her example of kindness and compassion. She was a conduit for God’s grace. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the chapel at Palm Village Retirement Community, 703 W Herbert Avenue in Reedley, CA, on July 19, 2025 at 1:30 pm with dessert and fellowship to follow.
