It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Steven Reyna, who departed this life on August 26, 2024 in Fresno, California. Born on March 24, 1982, Michael was a beloved son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many with his bright smile, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and his community. Michael grew up in Selma, where he developed a deep connection to his roots and a strong sense of community. He was known for his strong work ethic, infectious laughter, and his quick wit. Throughout his life, Michael was a dedicated son, a precocious brother, a loyal friend, and above all, a devoted partner and fur-dad to every four-legged baby he adopted. He found his greatest joy in the love he shared with his chosen family and friends. A man of many talents, Michael had a passion for community service, which he shared enthusiastically with those around him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, and his generosity knew no bounds. Whether it was through his volunteer work, his community involvement, or his personal relationships, Michael’s legacy of service and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Michael is survived by his partner in life Sonepheth Mounvongkham, parents Paul & Betty Reyna, siblings Paul L. Reyna, Kathleen Arambula-Reyna, sister in-law Carmen Arambula and his nephew Sebastian Michael Arambula-Reyna, who will forever cherish the memories they hold of Michael. Services for Michael will be held September 3, 2024 at St. Mary’s Queen of Apostles (4636 W Dakota Avenue, Fresno) at 10:00 a.m. A committal service will follow at Belmont Memorial Park. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at alater date, where family and friends will be invited to gather and share stories, memories, and love. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations or acts of service be made to Animal Compassion Team (ACT) or Fresno Humane Animal Services, the care and protection of animals was closest to Michael’s heart. Michael Steven Reyna will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain a guiding light for those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
