Marsoop " Mike " Garoogian Mike Garoogian was born on August 3, 1933 and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September surrounded by his loving family. Mike was raised in Reedley and joined the United States Air Force in 1951 serving as a pilot including during the Korean War, until 1953, at which time he received an Honorable Discharge. Throughout his life he was an entrepreneur and had many businesses including the Glo-Yo, Fresno Motor Sales, Michael's Used Cars, Atlas Truck and Equipment Co. and farming. He also enjoyed many business ventures which took him to locations all over the world. He had many hobbies such as flying, hunting, RC airplanes, BBQing for his family anf for many church and other events, and spending time with his family among other things. He spent many years serving the Armenian Church in many capacities such as Sunday School Superintendent, Parish Council Chair, Diocesan Council (Chair) and Camp Committees. He was preceded in death by his identical twin brother Zakar Garoogian, parents Serpouhi Der Hagopian and Zaker Garoogian and nephew Richard Nikssarian. He is survived by is daughters Marla Ens and husband Lyle, Jan Morrow and husband Kevin, Michelle Trevino and Kathy Brooksher, grandchildren Breanna, Fabian and Tiffany, great-grandchildren Micah and Damian, sister Mary Nikssarian and husband Dick, many niece, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Light, 1620 W. Belmont Avenue, Fresno on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 5-8pm with Religious Services at 7:00pm. A Church Service will be held at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church, 220 s. 3rd Street, Fowler, CA on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 10:00am with interment to follow at Masis Ararat Armenian Cemetery in Fresno. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Veteran's Hospital Fresno for their loving care, Rev. Fr.
